With the holiday season coming up, the Ray of Hope Foundation and artist Jason Robichau have gotten together to offer limited edition lithograph prints of Jason’s painting, “Set the Record Straight” that will make for a great gift. As some of you may know, we commissioned this piece after Ray set the all-time record for 3-point field goals.

These high-quality prints come individually signed and numbered by Jason. We set the edition size at 2,561 in commemoration of the feat. The retail price of each print is $50 with a portion of each sale benefiting the Ray of Hope Foundation.

This Halloween the children of the Allen family’s neighborhood swarmed to their doorstep in costume anxious to receive treats from NBA All-Star. Ray Graciously obliged, handing out treats to the masses of costumed fans.

Today is the day, the 2nd Annual Ray Allen Golf Tournament has finally arrived on the links of the TPC River Highlands course in Cromwell, CT. We’ve got a bit of the usualNew England weather going on today, but if you don’t want to golf just ’cause of a little rain, you aren’t a golfer. Anyway, these folks came out today for more than just a round of golf. The real reason Ray Allen Golf Tournament is organized is to raise money for the Ray of Hope Foundation.

Established by NBA All-Star Ray Allen in 1997, The Ray of Hope Foundation assists with sports related and community based programs and provides avenues of opportunity through which our youth can “hope” to realize their full potential.

The Ray of Hope Foundation has helped charitable organizations in several parts of the country fulfill their mission of assisting children in need. From Diabetes research, providing kids in low-income areas with safe and productive activities, to helping young students build greater self-esteem; the foundation is focused on continuing its positive work and becoming a constructive force in the Northeast. Most recently the foundation has been installing brand new school computer labs, in an effort to allow students in underprivileged schools to have access to modern technology and opportunities they otherwise would not have had. Thanks to everyone who participated in making this year’s Ray Allen Golf Tournament a wild success, and we hope to see you all again next year.

36 years old? Surely that has to be a mistake. As Ray runs off screen after screen deep into the 4th quarter, I routinely find myself out of breath just from watching on TV. We’re talking about first on the court last in the locker-room Ray Allen? We’re talking about the guy who just had one of the best seasons of his career statistically and shows no signs of slowing down? No, I think that’s supposed to be 26, I should check Wikipedia.

In all seriousness. Ray is a great example of how to carry yourself not just on the court but off. A true citizen of the world and a family man. Yes, it’s Ray’s birthday and he appreciates everything his fans have done for him, but Ray’s gifted enough already so if you’d still like to give, consider a donation to the Ray of Hope Foundation. Ray Allen, along with other notable Bostonians such as NBA Hall-of-Famer and Medal of Freedom recipient Bill Russell and Governor Deval Patrick, made an appearance at a campaign fundraising event for President Barack Obama. “Whether you guys realize it or not, we’re all on a team. Our colors are red, white, and blue. Our coach is Obama,” said Ray in support of President Obama’s 2012 reelection bid.

President Obama, who said early in his speech “it’s good to be back with some Celtics” spoke about Ray as well, calling him “a great friend” and “the greatest three-point shooter of all time”. Ray is of course happy to show up in support of the president, and many Celtics fans over the next year may very well take up the refrain, “Yes we can!” Although they may be talking about banner 18.
